Brief background: Chun Hyang is the daughter of a mundang in a village seemingly set in ancient Korea (or a world similar to it). She lived happily with her mother but the village's Yangban was horribly corrupt and abused his power of the villagers. Chun Hyang fought to defend the people but she couldn't attack the Yangban directly. One day a traveller named Mong Ryong visited her town and ended up staying at her mother's house. After a few days, the Yangban went to visit the mundang while Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong were out. He forced her to come back to his castle where he tried to force himself on her. She killed herself before that could happen, and it was only afterwards that Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong arrived to save her. Mong Ryong revealed himself to be one of the Amenosa and gives Chun Hyang permission to kill the Yangban. She does so and Mong Ryong asks her to travel with him around the country. She accepts
